Pte Evan Darlington, A Night Out with the 2nd Battalion DLI, 1946-47

Pte Evan Darlington is seated at centre in the photograph above. Posed to 2 DLI in October 1945, he served with the unit through to his demob in March 1947. This photograph must have taken during this period, but when and where? Further details most welcome. Darlington’s 16 DLI Regimental Sergeant Major E Thomasson was posted as the RSM of 2 DLI in 1946. I wonder were any other ex-16th men serving with the unit at this time?
