25801 344 Coward, Sgt Charles J, 2043391, RA. Charles Coward was the subject of the 1954 book the Password is Courage and the 1961 film of the same title. He was the 'Man of Confidence' at the main Lamsdorf camp Stalag 8B/344 in 1943-44 and famously claimed to have temporarily swapped places with a Jewish Auschwitz inmate while at E 715 Monowitz.
